How To: Sit Thru's

Sit Thru’s are a great way to workout your core aside from the usual crunches and sit ups.

Sit Thru’s look complex and almost like a break dancing move, but once we break down the motion, any skill level can add them into their workout routine.

Below are links to two quick videos that will show proper form when performing sit thru’s. Here are a few quick tips:

-Always keep your back straight

-Keep your knees bent throughout the process. Most people want to get into push up form when performing sit thru’s, but always stay loaded

-Reach your leg through, but don’t stretch far in a way that will hurt you. You know your body and your limitations. Reach as far as you CAN, not as far as you CAN’T.

-Keeping your palms flat on the floor makes the exercise easier, but once you get comfortable you can reach further by lifting the palm of side you’re opening up through (as you can see in the picture above).
