Quality Time
TimE is one of the biggest excuses we use day in and day out.
Time.... Everyone has an issue with time. Sometimes we wish time would fly and sometimes we don’t think they’re enough hours in the day.
When it comes to work, most of us are ready to clock out and to home. When it comes to exercise or at home responsibilities, we can’t seem to fit everything in. At the end of the day, we all have the same 24 hours in a day to work with, but we manage and prioritize those hours very differently. For someone who’s just getting into working out, it’s pretty difficult to find time for it. From work, school, kids and errands, there seems to be way too much going on. However, as I’ve spoken about at nauseam, your health is one of the most important things you can invest in. Whether that’s fiscally or time wise. egardless, time seems to be an insurmountable roadblock for some people.
Throw out any previous notion you have about fitness. You can get fit in so many different ways that aren’t completely painstaking. You don’t have to workout for hours on end in a gym. Heck, some of the best workouts I’ve had were 30 minutes outside in the sun. You just have to start. Get plugged into a community, class or friend group that is involved in an area of exercise that you enjoy!
Just get moving. Do what you love. If you are unsure, try some stuff out. The important part is that you’re moving, exercising and enjoying your life. Break the cycle of always wishing you were in shape or wishing you were involved in a certain activity.
We all are on a time crunch, but just remember this important fact:
Just like there’s a finite time during the day, we have a limited time on this earth. Commit to your happiness. Commit to your physical and mental health on this earth. The most important thing is our quality of life, so don’t spend it doing things you hate. Do the things you love.
